Shouldn't we be worried that Halloween has become a Slutty Holiday?

I’m not trying to be Debbie Downer, and normally, if grown women want to run around as a slutty angel or a slutty cowgirl, I don’t care. But when it’s marketed towards young, impressionable girls that I’m related to – I care.   Growing up and even into high school, girls wanted fun, clever costumes. I remember a girl in middle school was a rubix cube for Halloween, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.  She’d made this huge box with all the colored cubes. Today, she’d be in a short, skintight, cleavage baring dress with the rubix cube image on the front. Not cool. They make a sexy Mr. Potato Head outfit. Who wants to see or be a sexy Mr. Potato Head? Who thinks someoneshould be a sexy Mr. Potato Head? But I’m not the only one concerned.

Can scary and romantic go together? I think so.

The lights were dimmed.  I snuggled close to my beloved and he put his arm around me.  Delicious food was waiting in front of me.  A romantic date?  A candlelit dinner, perhaps?

Nope.  A Sunday afternoon showing of Paranormal Activity 3.

I’m Baaacck Tumblr

So Tumblr was my fix for blogging for about a year. Then I got ALL into blogging and started one to promote a book idea I want to publish. So I totally ditched tumblr, but now I’m feeling that’s unnecessary. It’s called multi-tasking Claudia. And I’ll just be joining the two!  No one needed this explanation, but I gave it anyway.
